It’s been a year I have worked in Beijing. To be frank, I don’t like it and want to go back to HK ASAP. However, as the returning day is approaching, I can’t deny I am going to miss what happened in this year.

Work wise, I am so please to have such a great creative team, you guys are amazing. We are learning everyday to be united, to be creative even have shit client and….shit account servicing…

Work = Play…Play = Work… we see each other in office on weekdays. We go crazy KTV on weekends. You all are part of my Beijing life and bring me tears and laughs. Without you guys, I will be a super loner! Thank you so much…

May this song always count…Tanya Beautiful Love.

Love’s Beautiful So Beautiful
我失去過 更珍惜擁有
多慶幸我是我 被你疼愛的我
緊緊牽住的手 不要放手
永遠守護我

Love’s Beautiful So Beautiful
我很快樂 你會了解我
我不會再哭泣 是因為我相信
我們勇敢的愛著 每秒鐘
都能證明 一生的美麗

Ready to come back

I love Beijing, but I love HK too much. Finally the time comes and have to say goodbye to Beijing soon. It is a very good chance to experience what an expat does in China…

1) Be a tourist for the first 3 months

2) Work on junk work

3) DVD marathon at home

4) Drink and get drunk

5) Plan what to eat next

6) Check on promotional air tix to fly back home

7) Involve in impractical expat relationships

Well this is totally from a woman’s point of view, if I were a man, things will be totally different..sorry all the male fds~

After all, China is progressing in a way that no one can stop to think what’s next. People are hurrying up to improve their life, however…it all takes time. The whole experience taught me to appreciate things you thought they were bad. I love my friends, my job, my clients,my family, my money even more! See you guys soon.

Everytime we have pandan cake we gonna share, either is i brought mine over, or you brought yours over! Too bad this time i can only share with you here. If you dun mind it will turn hard, i can fly them back this saturday!!! hahah…seriously, i will bring you pandan leave essense, time to bake again! Turn on your oven then!

For those who is fond of Pandan sponge cake, here is a reliable recipe.

Pandan Chiffon Cake

Ingredients:
455 g (1 Ib) grated coconut
9 egg whites
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
2 tablespoons screw pine juice
1 teaspoon green food colouring

A:
8 egg yolks
255 g (9 oz) castor sugar
170 ml (6 fl oz) corn oil
1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Sift the following:
140 g (5 oz) flour
2  teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon fine salt

Method:
Pre-heat oven to 170′C (350′F).
Squeeze coconut for 170 ml (6 fl oz) No. 1 milk. Cook over low heat till it boils and thickens like cream, stirring all the time. Cool.
Beat egg white till frothy, sleve the cream of tartar on to egg white and continue beating till very stiff but not dry.  Set aside.

Combine A in a bowl and beat lightly. Put flour in a mixing bowl. Make a well in centre, and pour in A. Bring in flour from sides and beat with batter beater till smooth.

Add the screw pine juice, green food colouring and coconut cream. Stir till blended. Fold in one-third of the egg white to the egg mixture and blend well.  Then add the rest of the egg white and fold in lightly with rubber spatula till well blended.

Pour into an ungreased 25 cm x 10 cm (10 in x 4 in) chiffon cake tin and bake for 45-50 minutes or till cake springs back when pressed with finger.  Remove from oven, invert cake tin and leave for 112 hour before transferring to a wire rack to cool.

Before sunset

June 9th, 2006 by seecc

Before sunset, I try to grab the last moment of beauty. "Enjoy the special moment before you lost its sight"The devil said. "The sun will rise again, smile.."The angel said. After all, the sky turns dark, and I doubt when and where it will rise again….

可愛

我想你明白 可能不是愛
我想你只想找個替代
你都說自己並沒有那麼可愛
我想你明白 這並不是愛
我想你忘了什麼是愛
我不過是可愛 卻還不夠被愛

Milou finally meet little Milou. So lucky I had a chance to shop around in Taipei during my squeezing business trip last week, and finally got little Milou back. My 5.5 feet bed now gets a bit crowded by sharing with 2 Milous…hahhah…what a waste!

Bacon

Looks like a pro ah! It’s Bacon Cheese muffin. But it’s a total failure! It doesn’t taste well and the texture doesn’t feel like muffin at all. It’s in reference to the "Muffin and Quick breads" bargain price cook book I bought in Taiwan. Wondering if I should try out other recipes, i dun just this book anymore :-(
